Finland Minnesota Historical Society: Photo Album
At the last quarterly meeting in Sept. we had a potluck in honor or our site hosts for the past 2 years, Dick and Judy Reinke, who have graciously agreed to return next year. Sample displays that will be hanging in the museum. The site hosts made a new railing out of birch and to the right of the steps they spelled out with rock FHS and the welcome sign (in finnish) at the top of the stairs. This is the new Visitor Center sign the site host made out of a circular saw Weaving demonstration conducted on the loom located in the John Pine Homestead House. Music all weekend during the annual Tori and Music Fest conducted each year on the second weekend of August. Tori is a Finnish market place. Blacksmith demonstration during the Tori weekend. Dozens of crafters are invited to Tori each year, demonstrating their skills and selling their crafts. The kitchen in the John Pine Homestead House. Museum architect David Salmela leads a discussion to decide on the most appropriate location for the Heritage Museum. Pot luck at the annual Pikku Joulu Christmas party. Heritage Museum.
